Nightfall of memories,
yesterday they were in my pocket, but today they are a
scrambled puzzle on the floor
blood bursts from the pain
seeps into coagulated puddles of casualty
Blinding pain
In a swimming pool of selfishness
Bodies of my friends float by
Motionlessly drifting
just beyond my outstretched hand
Paralyzing energy
Cementing my eyes tightly shut
I can only hear the beating of my heartbreak
I can only feel the tearing of my skin
Unable to see, unable to move
My universe is slipping away
into the dark matter.
